Probably the most troubling aspect of Trump’s presidency is the fact that a percentage of the public accepts and even applauds his crassness, lack of knowledge, and dangerous low-fact view of the world. I don’t know why. It was apparent from the time he descended from an escalator at Trump Tower in June of 2015 to announce his candidacy, that he was neither qualified to be president nor qualifiable as an acceptably decent human being.
From his announcement, to his inaugural “American Carnage” speech, to his recent cult pep-rally in Pennsylvania, Trump has made it clear time and again, just how awful the world is if he isn’t controlling it, and the cult members eat that shit up. Despite the fact that Trump is an awful human being. Despite the fact that he has a track record of destroying nearly everything he touches. Despite the fact he has not shown any indication he cares about anything or anyone other than himself or that he is even capable of such.
We have a narcissistic sociopath for a “president”. Any person or situation seen as an affront to his created reality must be childishly attacked or threatened with some consequences not likely to unfold.
Trump would be an ideal serial killer if it weren’t for his stupidity and cowardice.
He sees the world as a collection of his own experiences. What he experiences, the world experiences. What he decides, is. If he knows it, every sentient creature in the world knows it by extension. It’s always the biggest, the best, and the first time ever for the world, because it is happening to Trump this very second.
A convenient and created fact, which is evident to him, is the world’s fact. This isn’t hyperbole, he really believes this to be true. This is how he wakes up every morning- refreshed and renewed without a smidgen of remorse. He is confident the world is as he left it the previous evening; ripe and ready for his whim’s manipulation and antagonizing anew.
I have often transcribed large portions of Trump’s speeches to highlight the disorganization, narcissism, and poor quality of his thoughts. I noticed a particularly dark process in his thoughts during his speech at his last cult pep-rally. I didn’t mention it in my list of all the dreadful things he said recently, because it didn’t fit the format. It was a sinister little twist that was as painful to follow and gather together as any of Trump’s rambling, idiotic diatribes. I just haven’t been able to let it go. So I want to type it out.
Here he manages to both take a swipe at someone else and simultaneously suggest a horrifying national policy. Not unusual, but it’s the purposefully roundabout way in which he goes about it and the target of the put-down, that makes this noteworthy.
“We fill up these councils. They all want to be on councils. They call Blue Ribbon Councils. Where we take…Melania. Great, great First Lady. She’s great. You think her life is so easy folks. Not so easy. But, we put Melania and other people on this Blue Ribbon Committee. Do you think the drug dealers who kill thousands of people during their lifetime care about who’s on the committee? Do you think they care?”
Here Trump gleefully talks for four minutes about drug dealers killing people; stabbing-shooting-killing 2000, 3000, 5000 people and China and Singapore with their “zero-tolerance” executing drug dealers. Kill Kill kill.
“I don’t know if the United States is ready for it, but they should be ready for it.”
“Think about it. You kill one person and you get the death penalty.”
“And then you wonder why….we have a problem. That’s why we have a problem. (Because we don’t execute all drug dealers.) I don’t think we should play games.”
“We can’t just keep setting up blue-ribbon committees with your wife and your wife and your husband. And they meet and they have a meal and they talk talk talk and they write up a report.”
So. Aside from his sick, endless fascination with killing people…aside from that, he quite purposefully denigrates his wife while pretending he is complimenting her. You think her life is so easy? But nah he must be making a larger statement about committees. No. With your wife and your wife…
Think about it. You kill one person.
All they do is talk talk talk and submit useless, insignificant paperwork. We want action. We want to kill kill kill.
Well, I noticed it. At least one other person noticed it, if she was listening. Not only is she stupid and insignificant, according to Trump, she certainly seems to be inseparable from kill kill kill in Trump’s mind. I’d feel sorry for her, but I don’t.
I don’t feel sorry for any of the enablers. She did what she had to do with the body she had. She could get out any time she likes. Two other women already did it and they had plenty of money to raise their kids. There is no protection in remaining with that creature. It certainly isn’t safer for her or Barron to remain within Trump’s demented orbit. In her case I’m not going to believe she remains because she’s a scared, kept woman. She’s staying because she likes the fringe benefits, so fuck her.
I’d adopt Barron and raise him myself. I’m not rich, hell I’m poor, but he would be safe. He’s going to be disfigured and damaged more than he already is.
